In recent years, nuclear imaging techniques have proven to be useful for the diagnosis and management of different types of infections.
However, accessing this type of imaging techniques remains complicated for patients who are hospitalized in Intensive care unit (ICU), mainly due to their severity,
which is often not compatible with the prolonged duration of these examinations and the specific preparation regimens required.
To date, there is little evidence regarding the usefulness and safety of nuclear imaging techniques for the diagnosis and management of infections in patients hospitalized in ICU.
The aim of this short survey is to evaluate the practice of nuclear imaging in ICU: from accessibility, to reasons of imaging and modalities of execution.
